Injectable Lenacapavir has been now approved by the USFDA for hiv prevention. It is given as 2 injections 6 months apart. It is the newest form of PrEP now available for preventing HIV transmission. It belongs to class of drugs called as capsid inhibitors. The major drawback for its use is the current price. However in future we expect it to reach indian markers with more affordable cost.
